Cummings is clearly a tw*t, not least cos of his day trip to Barnard castle. Dishonest and self promoting for sure. But I think history will note that he played a key role in dragging Johnson kicking and screaming to the lockdowns rather than "letting it rip" as Johnson/Sunak wanted. Cummings grasped the modelling and what was coming if we did nothing, which am not convinced Johnson or Sunak ever did.
